As someone who is thinking about completing their studies overseas, you know that the process to get there can be intimidating.
Like standing at the foot of a mountain and seeing how far you've got to climb to get to the top, there are many different footpaths to get you there, but you're unsure which one to take.
Go and visit a local consultancy for overseas education office
Ask your cousin/brother/friend for help
Try and navigate the confusing website of one of the thousands of universities available
You get the idea.
But there is another, easier method that can help with your overseas studies application that doesn't require you to leave the house
Apply online with a consultancy for overseas education.
This is where Lyfe Overseas comes in.
Launched in early 2019, we're committed to providing an easy, efficient and super simple way for everyone, regardless of where they live, to apply to study overseas.
Lyfe Overseas allows potential students to register their interest to study abroad in less than 2 minutes and then receive an invitation to discuss their options with an application expert over the phone or via text message.
Since launching, the online process to study overseas has proved hugely popular, as students realise that moving their application online makes things a lot simpler and less complicated, while remaining at home,
There are several benefits of completing your overseas studies application online and we cover most of them in the "Students" section of our site.
However, at Lyfe Overseas, we have decided to do things a little differently.
We recently partnered with the fantastic reforestation project "One Tree Planted" and committed to planting 12 fruit trees in India for every student that completes their application to study overseas with us.
What Is One Tree Planted?
One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees to restore nature and biodiversity. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees, offer businesses like ours a simple sustainability solution, and motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.
Our as One Tree Planted put it
… our goal is simple: make it easy for people to understand the importance of trees and make it even easier to get trees in the ground
Planting trees is one of the best ways to combat the damaging effects of climate change. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide a habitat to over 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity.
Trees also provide tremendous social impacts by providing jobs to over 1.6 billion people, empowering women in underdeveloped nations, and supporting communities devastated by environmental damage.
Why One Tree Planted?
Working with One Tree Planted is a great fit for Lyfe Overseas since persistent improvement & development are at the core of our business model. A lot of the students we work with come from India, so it's great for us to work with a company that is committed to giving back to an area that's close to our hearts.
Why Fruit Trees?
Fruit trees, planted in the rural Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Odisha aid in these areas where food scarcity has been amplified by the effects of COVID-19.
Each fruit tree planted will provide at least $10 USD in food and nutrition each year. The species we’ll focus on are:
Moringa, papaya, and banana grow quickly and will provide food and fruit within 8-10 months of planting.
Lemon, guava, apricot, pear, peach, and jujubes take a little longer (3 years) to produce fruit, but will ultimately provide a steady supply of food and income to small farmers.
